I wish things like therapy on the NHS were more convenient

The Sandwell service 'Talking Shop' offers effective treatment in a range of packages that are designed to fit into your life easily and conveniently.

Government guidance recommends Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for low mood and anxiety.  Rather than having to travel to attend every therapy appointment, there is an option that the majority of your treatment can be provided in structured telephone sessions with a practitioner, supported by a choice of CBT workbooks or an interactive CBT self-help programme on the internet.

Other forms of help offered via telephone treatment sessions include advice and support with - antidepressant medication, improving your sleep, solving your problems and re-starting activities that make you feel better.

You can choose any combination of these treatment options, including the information, practical help, and workshops already described.

For people who need to work more intensively on their problems, and want to travel to see a therapist, regular face-to-face appointments can be offered.  Some of our services will also be happy to offer home visits where necessary.
